Phergal Laboratorios is a company where science and innovation go hand in hand, and that would not be possible without all the women who are part of our team.
Our CEO, María del Pino Navarro Veroz, is a pharmacist and an example of leadership. Thanks to her knowledge, she has driven Phergal’s growth every day, strengthening its development with the experience of the pharmaceutical industry in the cosmetics world. Her work and that of so many women in our company reflect the real impact of female talent in science.
From our laboratories to quality control, from the development of new formulations to the research of innovative active ingredients, their work is key to the continued advancement of dermo-cosmetics with more effective, sustainable and skin-friendly products.
But there is a reality we cannot ignore. Despite advances, women are still under-represented in many scientific sectors. Globally, only 33% of researchers are women, and in areas such as artificial intelligence or chemical engineering, the numbers are even lower.
The question is: how can we change this?
By making role models visible: Girls need role models, women who show them that science is also their path.
Fostering scientific vocations: Supporting STEM education from childhood is key to closing the gender gap in science.
Today and every day, we celebrate the role of women in science. Because without them, innovation would not be possible.
