Phergal Laboratories is clearly committed to the different organisations with which it is involved year after year to meet its objectives for environmental protection, as well as to social projects and responsible sponsorship.
One of the organisations with which the Order of Malta Spain continues to show its commitment to helping the most disadvantaged people is the Order of Malta Spain and its volunteer camps, one of which, the Lebanon Project, aims to care for people with mental and physical disabilities in Lebanon and offer them a well-deserved summer break through various activities.
This camp takes place at the Kfardebian Centre for the Disabled, a former orphanage which the Order of Malta’s Lebanese Association rents from the Perpetual Help Brotherhood, and which this year will have three deliveries: one with men, one with women and one with children, between July 23 and August 15.
In these camps, the aim is to cover the needs of a population (physically and/or psychologically handicapped people) with scarce resources to cover their daily lives with minimum guarantees. In this case, the need for summer recreation and rest.
This is why the care centres where they are treated are usually very humble religious congregations, where nuns and lay workers attend to around 20 people simultaneously, with the difficulties that this entails in offering them personalised treatment and improving their quality of life.
